OPB: Ghost nets video
Awesome video on Ghost Nets from Oregon Public Broadcasting -- old gill nets tumbling around on the bottom of the ocean off the Oregon Coast. They keep killing, long after the commercial fishermen have discarded them. The nets kill dungeness crabs, sea birds and endangered salmon.

Ahhh, so much to say.
First off, right on to the folks pulling them up and getting the word out so funding happens.
Secondly, fucking A that's some horrible shit.
Thirdly, the ones found in the ocean are hellishly worse, in a sense, because they are so huge and often contain cetaceans.
